Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a DB2 Systems Programmer to join our Fortune 500 client, an IT infrastructure services provider. You will have the opportunity to support a payroll processing customers mainframe environment as a DB2 Systems Programmer. You will provide remote support (in EST zone) and be a part of an on-call rotation. We are looking for strong communicator and team player to join our clients team for this multi-year contract opportunity.

Skills and Requirements

10+ years experience with mainframe DB2 system administration

Working knowledge of IBM DB2 tools, system maintenance and patching

Experience with administering Db2 Data Sharing environments

Strong knowledge of Db2 subsystems and architecture

Ability to diagnose and resolve Db2 application software problems

Familiarity with buffer pool tuning and zParm configurations

Knowledge of SMPE, IBM DB2 tools, and JCL

Experience supporting OLTP and batch applications

Working knowledge of DB2Connect and DDF

In-depth knowledge of ISPF, JCL, SQL, and DB2 utilities

Experience with DB2 data replication (CDC) null
