    Job Overview

     

    Bee Sweet Citrus, Inc. is looking for an optimistic, committed, and motivated candidate who has at least 5 years of experience with citrus pest control. This job will require traveling from one ranch to another which will require a valid California driver’s license with a clean DMV record.

     

    Duties / Responsibilities

    Job duties include but are not limited to, the following:

    + Responsible for finding insects, diseases, weeds and other organisms along with implementing IPM programs and writing recommendations

    + Monitor and scout fields for economic thresholds

    + Evaluate chemical efficacy in fields

    + Correctly use chemicals for maximum fruit quality

    + Communicate with ranch managers to coordinate pesticide applications

    + Comply with California Department of Pesticide Regulations

    + Order chemicals and keep inventory up to date

    + Manage field scouts

    + Coordinate pest control operations

    Required Skills / Abilities

    + Must have a clean driving record

    + BS in Ag or plant science preferred

    + Must be able to follow our Fleet Safety Program and Policies

    + Valid PCA license

    Physical Requirements

    + Employee is regularly required to walk, stand for periods of time at workstation, climb stairs, and reach with hands and arms

    + Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

    + Must be able to work in extreme cold, heat, or humidity; and sometimes can include work in dusty or muddy work conditions

     

    Pay offered/ Benefits

     

    + $85,000 to $110,000 annually
