Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team in The Woodlands, TX. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of GAAP, and experience in general ledger accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting. This role offers growth potential and the opportunity to collaborate across departments to ensure accurate and timely financial results.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with US GAAP

+ Lead month-end and year-end close processes

+ Analyze financial results and variances, providing insights to management

+ Assist with audits, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation

+ Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

+ Support budgeting and forecasting processes

+ Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to process improvement initiatives

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-eligible preferred)

+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

+ Cost Accounting, strongly preferred

+ Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control procedures

+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, SAP ideal

+ Excellent communication and organizational skills

+ Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
