    Overview/ Job Description:

    _MUST RESIDE IN TENNESSEE_** **_Near Knoxville TN_

     

    The Healthcare Claims Processor will actively support our healthcare client by processing and/or adjusting typical and non-typical healthcare claims and appeals.

     

    Perform extensive research to process and/or adjust healthcare claims and appeals.

     

    Use multiple healthcare-related operating systems and tracking tools simultaneously.

     

    Occasionally encounter non-typical healthcare claims

     

    Actively utilize critical thinking skills to determine when to seek advice or escalate issues.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED

    • Must pass a background check

    • Must pass a drug screening

    • 1 year of professional work experience with solid tenure in each role

    • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook

    • Strong computer proficiency focusing on multiple systems input.

    • Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions regarding the decision to pay or deny claims.

    • Excellent reading comprehension due to the high volume of data required to complete the claims process.

    • Data entry skills

    • Previous billing experience

    Bonus Points If You Have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in science or related field

    • 1 year of Medical Claims processing experience

    • Knowledge and experience in any workstream of US healthcare

    **Pay Details:** $18.00 per hour
