    Job Position: Sr Financial Analyst

    **Location:** Hillsboro, Oregon

    Position Summary:

    Join our dynamic Semiconductor Business Unit Finance team as a Financial Analyst in our Electron Microscopy business! From research and development to high-volume manufacturing and beyond, Thermo Fisher Scientific offers a broad portfolio of solutions and workflows to support semiconductor development and accelerate time-to-market. This is an amazing Global Commercial Finance role that reports to the Finance Director of the Semiconductor Business Unit and will partner directly with their Vice President of Global Sales and interact with multiple partners across global teams.

     

    We are looking for someone with good commercial sense and who is highly analytical with great attention to detail. Strong communication and organizational skills are key to be successful. Furthermore, experience in navigating complex matrixed environments is required. It is a role that requires a self-starter that is hands-on and is a critical thinker. Establishing strong partnerships with business leaders is crucial in our fast-paced environment.

    Primary Job Responsibilities

    • Global Commercial Finance: Manage FP&A workstreams: forecasting, budgeting, business reviews, and reporting. Analyze business performance against key metrics. Highlight financial insights and drive actions. Identify risks and opportunities; collaborate with regional leaders to drive growth and mitigate risks.

    • Business Partnering: Support strategic planning and initiatives. Provide analytics to help Commercial teams identify insights and growth opportunities.

    • Drive alignment across teams: Through collaboration across partners and functions. Partner with regional FP&A/Accounting teams for timely and accurate financial reporting.

    • Commercial Excellence and Productivity: Improve processes, analytics, and dashboards. Streamline routine analysis through automation and develop business intelligence capabilities.

    • Annual Operating Plan: Lead and coordinate the Global Commercial Annual Operating Plan for MSD Semiconductor. Prepare analysis for executive review.

    • Ad-hoc Projects: Support financial modeling, analytics, and investment proposals.

    Minimum requirements/Qualifications

    • 4-6 years experience, preferably in Commercial Finance in a matrixed organization

    • Familiarity with a tier 1 CRM and ERP system

    • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms

    • Proficient in Hyperion planning system, Excel, and PowerPoint

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting required
