    Job Description

    Material Handler II

     

    Mon - Fri 7:30 am - 4 pm

    Location/Division Specific Information:

    The Transplant Diagnostic Division develops and distributes a comprehensive line of typing and antibody detection products, laboratory instrumentation, computer software, and clinical laboratory services that are used to help match patients and donors before transplant, monitor patients post-transplant, and advance research in the transplantation space. Our primary operations are in West Hills, California, which includes our main manufacturing facility, R&D, and various support functions.

     

    How Will You Make an Impact?:

     

    The Material Handler II is responsible to ship, receive, store, and provide accurate order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory, materials, consumables, parts and equipment at the site. This role is crucial in communicating and providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

     

    A Day in the Life:

    + Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and accurately process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements while sustaining a high level of quality to ensure customers receive accurate product and in the time requested.

    + Receive materials and/or finished goods daily. Verify the quality, type and number of materials received are accurate and that the appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list).

    + Package and label shipments according to standard operating procedures and complete documentation requirements for outbound shipments including international orders.

    + Perform other tasks assigned by Manager or area Lead.

    + Flexibility to work overtime and different shifts as needed

    Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent required.

    Experience:

    + Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field

    + Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers)

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    + Familiar with cGMP environment

    + Basic data entry skills including ERP systems.

    + Acquire and maintain a forklift certification.

    + Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.

    Physical Requirements / Work Environment

    + Position requires long periods of standing, walking, reaching, and lifting 15-80 lbs on continuous basis.

    + May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing certain tasks.

    + Position is located in a warehouse environment under various temperatures including cold and freezer storage.

     

    Compensation and Benefits

     

    The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $15.85–$23.77.
