    **Position Title** : Fixed Income Portfolio Analyst

    Job Description** **:

    Perform portfolio analysis to support the execution of investment strategies across institutional client portfolios. Interact closely with Portfolio Managers (‘PMs’), Traders and Portfolio Analysts to ensure timely and accurate execution of investment strategies across portfolios as part of the Broad Markets Fixed Income Portfolio Management team. Convert PMs’ investment ideas into executable trades for a defined set of portfolios considering multiple complex client restrictions and market specifics. Prepare trades to bring portfolio exposures back in line with targets using cash bonds and derivatives. Make PMs aware of dispersion from targets and recommend trades to bring back to target. Propose trades to rebalance portfolios in response to changes in investment strategies and cash flows. Monitor positions and verify that transactions are consistent with client guidelines. Support client onboarding and offboarding by identification of required operational steps and recommend trades to complete client transitions. Leverage Python, Java, SQL, and VBA to improve the implementation process and engage with IT in the development of customized analysis tools. Monitor performance, risk exposures, and key market sensitivities of positions in portfolios. Prepare risk and performance attribution reports across client portfolios for internal teams with appropriate market commentary. Communicate current portfolio positioning with the Investment Products and relationship teams. Position is fixed location based in Boston office; however, telecommuting from a home office may be permitted up to one (1) day per week.

    Job Requirements** **:

    Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Quantitative and Computational Finance or a directly related analytical field plus two (2) years of experience as an Analyst or related occupation in the fixed income business.

    Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

    + Quantitative and numerical analysis in the context of fixed income sectors, investing, and risk

    + Working with trading desk or portfolio managers to solve time-sensitive investment problems

    + Initiation and oversight of projects that lead to improved risk management and operational aspects of fixed income portfolio management

    + Programming in Python, Java, SQL, and VBA in the context of financial and asset management industry

    + Using Bloomberg platform

    + Preparing risk and performance reporting

    40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm. Salary: $100,000 - $135,000/year. (Multiple Positions Available)
