    Responsibilities for the health teacher include:

    + Implement content area curricula

    + Provide necessary accommodations to meet individual, group, and program needs

    + Implement IEPs

    + Create a supportive learning environment

    + Implement Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

    + Create partnerships with parents and The Katherine Thomas high school community

    Requirements for the health teacher:

    + Bachelors Degree in Health Education or a related field (Required)

    + Maryland Special Education Teaching Certificate (Required)

    + Experience with students on the Autism spectrum preferred
