Are you looking for an Enterprise-Wide Java Developer role whereby you will drive innovation within our core business units?

About the role, As an Enterprise wide Java developer you will be a key member of our core libraries team. You will be working within our advanced Java, SQL, big data tech stack.

About the team, this 7 person team supports multiple domains. We build core library solutions to help drive innovation within multiple domains.

Responsibilities;

+ Interfacing with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.

+ Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.

+ Working closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.

+ Implementing development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.

+ Operating in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.

+ Resolving complex technical issues as necessary.

Requirements

+ Posses current core Java development skills (version 11 and up).

+ Big data processing (particularly Spark/Databricks, specifically in a data engineering role)

+ Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Java object-oriented design and architectural principles. Proven track record with Big Data technology as well as SQL.

+ Problem-solving experience involving identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot complex project issues and find effective, strategic solutions.

+ Extensive data manipulation and data analysis skills.

+ Experience working with git.

+ Experience with agile and test-driven development.

+ Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage time, and cope with change.
