Our client, a leader in the technology sector, is seeking a Senior Java Developer with OpenShift or Kubernetes to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a self-motivated attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Senior Java Developer with OpenShift or Kubernetes

**Location:** Chicago, IL

What's the Job?

+ Design, develop, and deploy Java applications in a containerized environment using Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.

+ Implement containerization strategies and best practices, optimizing application performance and security within OpenShift.

+ Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible, automating deployments and streamlining workflows.

+ Migrate existing applications to OpenShift and ensure compliance with security standards.

+ Mentor other team members and participate in planning & estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices.

What's Needed?

+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in building large scale Java applications.

+ Strong skills in design and developing robust REST APIs and Microservices with proficiency in Spring Boot.

+ Hands-on experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes, building complex infrastructure programmatically through automation and scripting.

+ Experience migrating existing SOAP & REST Services to OpenShift.

+ Ability to work in a highly visible and fast-paced environment where business needs/priorities may change.
