    CORPORATE SENIOR CONTROLLER WITH CPA & STRONG HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY FINANCIAL REPORTING -NEEDED FOR OUR CLIENT WHO IS A SENIOR LIVING & ASSISTED LIVING COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT COMPANY.

     

    Our client is a successful privately owned fast growing real estate development company building senior living and assisted living communities. Headquartered in Indiana, they have a newly created role of Corporate Sr Controller due to growth. Proven experience is needed in management of financial activities of a healthcare organization and a CPA. Our client owns and operates their communities or are the contracted management company to operate communities they have built.

    Position Overview

    The Senior Controller plays a critical role in our client's organization in managing and overseeing the financial operations, including financial and management reporting, compliance, budgeting, variance analysis and forecasting. This position requires a strategic thinker who can provide valuable financial insights to senior management and drive financial performance. This role oversees core accounting functions including 3rd party medical billing for Medicaid/Medicare residents in the assisted living facility and management of contract medical providers on site.

     

    The role reports to the VP of Accounting and manages a team of 3–4 accounting professionals. Our client is looking for an operationally focused Sr Accounting professional with a servant leadership style and strong management skills of both processes and people. The Sr Controller will ensure accurate financial data and reporting of monthly performance KPIs for each location are completed on a timely basis.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger

    + Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls

    + Support onboarding of staff and residents in new communities

    + Oversee accounting for REIT partnerships and triple-net lease structures

    + Cost tracking of projects

    + Manage financial onboarding of new communities

    + Tech savvy-Sage Intacct experience would be a plus

    + Provide financial reporting and insights to executive leadership

    + Supervise a team including a Controller, ADP payroll, AP/AR, and general accounting staff

    + Oversee and drive the revenue process

     

    Compensation

     

    Base Salary: $150,000-$180,000

     

    Bonus up to 30%

    Qualifications

    + CPA required

    + Must be an experienced Controller in a healthcare organization. Real estate development experience would be a plus but not required.

    + Experience as a controller in senior living or assisted living communities or a skilled nursing facility is highly preferred

    + Proficiency with Sage Intacct or similar ERP platforms

    + Ability to operate in a growth-focused environment with multiple concurrent projects

    + 3rd party medical billing contract management with an emphasis on medical and Medicaid reimbursement
