How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key
responsibilities):
As a Simulator Qualification Co-op, you will support Delta’s
Simulator Qualifications, Engineering and Maintenance teams in regulatory
oversight and training readiness of Delta's fleet of 71 flight simulator
training devices. Delta’s Simulator Qualifications, Engineering and Maintenance
teams ensure that flight simulator training devices meet FAA FAR Part 60
requirements and are aligned with Delta’s pilot training and qualification
standards. This position offers real-world exposure to FAA regulatory compliance,
operations, and quality control of high-fidelity flight simulator training
devices.
Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all
tasks):
+ Reports to Delta’s Manager of Simulator Qualifications.
+ Supports FAA’s initial and requalification evaluationevents, and Delta’s internal evaluation events of flight simulator trainingdevices.
+ Collaborates with Simulator Engineering and SimulatorMaintenance teams in review of simulator qualification discrepancies andfidelity issues.
+ Supports simulator qualification and technical documentationrecords retention process.
+ Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operationalprocesses and procedures.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Working as a Co-op does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation. This position is intended to provide you with educational, and professional work experience to prepare you for the workforce.
+ This position requires you to work for 3 alternating semesters. You cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op at the same time, which may delay your graduation by 1-2 semesters.
+ Students must be able to complete 3 alternating rotations in Atlanta, GA in line with the below schedule:
+ Spring 2026 - 1st rotation
+ Fall 2026 - 2nd rotation
+ Summer 2027 - 3rd rotation
+ Working toward a bachelor’s degree in aviation management, aeronauticalscience, engineering, or a related discipline.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze technical data anddocumentation.
+ Demonstrated organizational and communication skills, both written andverbal.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a regulated,fast-paced technical environment.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat for communication,document management, and regulatory recordkeeping.
+ Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, andpersonal data.
+ Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
+ Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
+ Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the UnitedStates.
