    Job Description Summary:

    The Director, Business Management will build outstanding sales, strategic planning and execution capabilities throughout the market strengthening relationships with its suppliers. This person will drive Breakthru (BBG) teams to achieve the supplier’s goals as well as meeting BBG market share and financial objectives. The director will enhance supplier’s position as a preferred partner through superior performance and comprehensive activation. The director will enhance and strengthen the existing alignment between BBG and the supplier.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Manage allocation process for Supplier’s key brands. Develop programming which is S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely) compliant. Negotiate, process, and leverage sales incentives that guide the team to achieve supplier and distributor goals. Ensure Supplier initiatives are achieved in the market. Monitor critical business factors such as Supplier’s objectives and market share growth, KPI’s, goals and initiatives and provide actionable strategic recommendations. Work internally and externally to ensure supply goals are met by effectively balancing needs within the market. Develop collaborative relationships with BBG, market leaders and Supplier associates to seamless activate and execute Supplier brand goals, strategies and programs. Align and build momentum with BBG stakeholders to bring visibility to the Supplier’s vision, portfolio and brand strategies. Develop programs and allocate resources behind value creating initiatives that drive growth and secure investment. Lead local market on Supplier’s initiatives such as product launches, test markets, eCommerce advancement and research etc. Identify and develop cross portfolio opportunities and monitor pricing, identify commodity and supplier level margin opportunities. Work with Analytics to develop tools / processes and establish baseline across the footprint. Lead all parts of the sales process, lead selling, education and positioning brands for success. Regularly interact with field management for updating programming and brand priorities, brand standards and best practices leading to successful execution in the market. Work with key assigned teams to deliver monthly goals (work-withs, product training samples, etc.). Create, coordinate, and attend on-site promotional functions (e.g. wine maker dinners, product launches, and tastings). Implement and drive company-wide sales strategies to achieve sales goals. Plan, execute, and evaluate sales, promotion, and marketing programs. Lead and direct the Supplier Planning Initiatives, including supplier meetings, programming communication, and business review/planning meeting. Direct the design, planning and implementation of new and existing marketing initiatives that align with supplier goals. Manage purchasing, supplier shipment, and local delivery of assigned-supplier portfolios for incentive planning and inventory. Ensure brand pricing and gross profit is aligned to strategy by channel All other duties, as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field

    + Minimum of 10+ years senior sales, business development, trade or marketing experience with significant leadership experience in a beverage alcohol industry

    + Strong influencing skills; must be effective with many internal and external stakeholders

    + Strong knowledge of supplier vision and strategies

    + Willingness and ability to travel extensively across markets

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + MBA in Business or related field

    + Existing effective relationships with the supplier

    + Possess an in-depth knowledge with core BBG systems and processes

    Physical Requirements:

    + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone

    Skills:

    + Comprehensive understanding of wine and spirits to include regions/varietals, product/food pairing techniques, basic production, and service

    + Drive brand success via leadership selling against trade channels and actively supporting the selling efforts of sales reps, district managers, and key account specialists within the wholesaler

    + Ability to create and sell innovative ideas

    + Goal oriented, focused, and assertive individual who needs little direction or supervision.

    + Good knowledge of Commercial Finance and Pricing practices.

    + Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all level of management

    + Interpersonal skills necessary to lead a team and establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and relevant stakeholders

    + Analytical and conceptual skills

    + Ability to communicate the results clearly and concisely in both verbal and in written form

    Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience.

     

    Salary Range: $128,520 - $160,650

     

    This position is eligible to participate in a bonus program. Metrics and level of participation are determined annually.

     

    This position is eligible for health care benefits, life insurance, time off benefits and participation in the Company’s 401(k) plan
