    We are seeking a talented and motivated Embedded Software Engineer to enable the scale of next generation sensor and compute products in robotics. We are a cross-disciplinary team aiming to enable broad use cases of sensing and compute technologies in Amazon fulfillment network.

     

    The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Embedded software development and scaling. The candidate need to have strong technical expertise to deliver single handed, as well as great stewardship skills to work on multiple projects with internal teams and external partners. We will guide you to make this journey fulfilling, rewarding and fun.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    - Work backwards from optimal customer experience to comprehend use cases and define requirements.

     

    - Design, develop, optimize and maintain embedded systems and software to enable Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Edge Computing

     

    - Partner with hardware teams, software teams, operations teams and third party suppliers to develop next generation 2D & 3D sensors and compute technologies and products.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree or equivalent

     

    - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

     

    - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

     

    - Experience programming with at least one software programming language

     

    - 3+ years of embedded software development experience including design, prototype, development, code review, test, build, release, manufacturing and deployment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    - High level of proficiency with C/C++ and Python programming languages.

     

    - Experience with sensors, including but not limited to camera, stereo camera, time-of-flight sensors, Radar, and Lidar.

     

    - Experience with computer vision, sensor fusion, GPU or other AI development on the edge.

     

    - Excellent leadership, teamwork and collaboration skills with a high level of attention to detail.

     

    - Excellent oral and written communication skills.
