• Maintenance Planner

    Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. (Ishpeming, MI)


    Cleveland-Cliff has an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Planner at our Tilden site. This role is responsible for contributing to the maintenance team by overseeing and coordinating all aspects of mechanical maintenance planning and/or supervising in the mining maintenance department. Our ideal candidate will be accountable for safe work and operating practices, hard-working, self-driven, goal oriented and resilient.

    Summary of Responsibilities :

    + Ensures that all department work is performed in a safe manner and that all work areas are maintained to meet all MSHA standards.

    + Generates a work plan including daily and weekly schedules.

    + Provides input into budgeting.

    + Ensures that the weekly maintenance plan is communicated and planned per MPS standards.

    + Responsible for the quality execution of work and reports and recommends solutions to deviations from the plan.

    + Develops work package for various levels of outages.

    + Performs inspections to ensure equipment health is maintained.

    + Orders all necessary parts and materials to complete the work plan.

    + Ensures that all necessary parts are pre-positioned and or delivered to the job site prior to commencement of the job.

    + Works with the supervisor to ensure that all work orders are closed when completed.

    + Updates equipment history, equipment component tracking, APLs in a timely manner

    + Communicates feedback requirements for each repair.

    + Works with the supervisors, craft work/technicians, and reliability engineers to ensure the equipment improvement activities are occurring.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications :

    + High School Diploma or GED required.

    + Supervisory experience or previous experience in a similar role.

    + Ability to read and comprehend Gantt charts and use CMMS software (training provided).

    Preferred Qualification:

    + 2-4 year technical degree or equivalent.

    + 2-4 years’ experience in an industrial setting.
