    Qualifications Include:

    ~High School graduate or equivalent.

     

    ~Must possess excellent communication skills.

     

    ~Previous sterilization/hospital experience strongly preferred.

     

    ~After 2 years combination of classroom education and job experience the Technician must obtain fluency in hospital terminology, basic knowledge of descriptive anatomy and physiology, a basic understanding of microbiology; the prevention and control of infection; and all facets of disinfection.

     

    ~Associate is required to obtain certification within 1 ½ years of hire date. Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)
