Job Description Summary:
Come join our Cardiology Device Team! No weekends, Holidays, or on-call responsibilities. Train and learn each and every day while working side by side with peers and Electrophysiologists. Be on the cutting edge of Cardiology Device Technology. Choose your schedule. Offering four 10 hour shifts or five 8 hour shifts.
Your orientation plan consists with being paired with seasoned Device staff for hands on training gaining experience for several months followed by a formal education on Devices.
Responsible for providing professional Nursing care in the analysis of data for patients with implantable cardiac devices including pacemakers, defibrillators and loop devices, following established standards and practices including:
• Providing nursing skills to evaluate patients with arrhythmias
• Mastering the technical skills to evaluate patients with cardiac rhythm management devices
• Troubleshoot Device Interrogation with collaboration with Electrophysiologists
• Mastering knowledge of various manufacturers devices and models
• Play vital role in new technology protocols
• Face to face and telephone assessment of patients
• Completes programming orders according to established protocols.
• Performs interrogation, evaluation and reprogramming of all manufacturers’ models of cardiac rhythm device management.
• Provides patient education
• Manages documentation in Care Connect and PaceMate
Responsible for providing professional Nursing care in the analysis of data for patients with implantable cardiac devices including pacemakers, defibrillators and loop devices, following established standards and practices. The RN must be able to demonstrate the professional nursing skills to evaluate patients with arrhythmias and the technical skills to evaluate patients with cardiac rhythm management devices as well as the ability to program settings and troubleshoot in collaboration with electrophysiology specialists. This position requires highly specialized knowledge of various manufacturers and models of these devices and their functions along with the ability to acquire, maintain and integrate new technologies as they evolve. Promotes quality patient care by adhering to HRS and NASPE standards of care. Triages phone calls and completes programming orders according to established protocols. Performs interrogation, evaluation, and reprogramming of all manufacturers models of cardiac rhythm management devices. Reviews remote, trans-telephonic, and in-office evaluations and completes documentation according to protocols. Provides patient and family education with appropriate documentation in EMR and Paceart. Adheres to billing guidelines and practices and promotes positive staff and inter-office relations. Acquires, maintains, and integrates knowledge of scientific principles and derived technology-based interventions and therapies in cardiac pacing, defibrillation, and electrophysiology to provide and facilitate the provision of safe, optimal patient care.

Promote patient follow up compliance by providing education specific to each device and the recommended follow up protocols.
Provides patient and family education with appropriate documentation in EMR and/or Paceart.
Adheres to billing guidelines and practices
Promotes positive staff and interoffice relations

Minimum Qualifications:
RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing
Additional Job Description:
Must have prior Experience in cardiology, preferably electrophysiology, and knowledge of implantable cardiac devices is desirable. At least 5 years cardiology Experience , preferably electrophysiology
