This entry-level position monitors bus operations, refilling them on fuel/supplies, and ensuring our drivers are equipped for the day at hand. Pay starts at $18.01/hr and benefits start within 60 days of hire. Job Description:
About the Position
In this role you will...
+ Check fluid levels, such as coolant, engine oil, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, windshield washer fluid and diesel exhaust fluid (we can train on this!).
+ Update public service messages inside the buses.
+ Clean the interior of buses including windows, seats, dash areas, driver’s area around the pedals, and sweep and mop the floors.
+ Drive buses around the yard and negotiate around the fuel islands.
+ Fuel the transit buses/support vehicles.
+ Probe and remove GFI cash box.
+ Record mileage, vehicle number, fuel gallons and fluids on the fuel sheet matrix form.
+ Clean the exterior of buses including wheels and tires (as needed) by hand or with the Automatic Bus Washer.
Work Hours
+ Full Time, 40 hours per week.
+ 2nd Shift: 03:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Must maintain Florida Driver's License to stay employed in this classification
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five years.
About Everything Else Starting Pay: $17.50/hour + $0.51/hr 2nd Shift Differential Employee Type:Regular (Budgeted)
