Essential Functions/Responsibilities
+ Support and maintain the existing SQL Server 2017 environment, ensuring data availability, performance, and reliability for ongoing business operations.
+ Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions in Microsoft Azure, including Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse, and related services.
+ Develop and optimize data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and integrations between systems using modern tools and best practices.
+ Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand data needs, and deliver effective solutions.
+ Ensure data quality, security, and governance across both legacy and modern data platforms.
+ Document data architecture, processes, and workflows to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.
+ Monitor and troubleshoot data systems and integrations, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
+ Contribute to the planning and execution of the data platform migration strategy, balancing short-term support with long-term transformation goals.
+ Stay current with industry trends and Azure technologies, recommending improvements and innovations where appropriate.
+ Understand, debug and troubleshoot SQL, SQL Server databases, Python code and APIs
Education and/or Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
+ 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data development, or database administration roles.
+ 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse, or equivalent.
+ Strong understanding of data modeling
+ Strong background in SQL Server, including performance tuning, stored procedures, and database design.
+ Proven experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and data models.
+ Development experience using Microsoft T-SQL, Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, Python and API technologies
+ Hands-on experience with data integration tools and building ETL/ELT pipelines.
+ Experience supporting and modernizing legacy data systems while transitioning to cloud-based platforms.
+ Exposure to different database management systems, including RDBMS system (e.g. PostgreSQL), NoSQL technologies, and columnar databases, with a willingness to deepen expertise as needed.
+ Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices in cloud environments.
+ Experience working in cross-functional teams and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
+ Background in Construction, Single Family, Multi-Family, and/or Commercial Property Management and/or Accounting is a plus
+ Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) for deploying data pipelines, infrastructure as code, and analytics solutions.

+ Ability to work in a deadline driver fast paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of autonomy while being a team player

+ Sense of Urgency of delivery and ownership of work products
