    + Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

    + Knowledge of general university policies and procedures.

    + Ability to prepare and conduct training for golf student-athletes.

    + Skill in the assessment and recruitment of prospective golf student-athletes.

    + Experience playing or coaching golf at the collegiate level.

    + Bachelors’ degree.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Additional consideration for Master’s degree.

    Job Description

    Texas State University is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Men’s Golf Coach for the Texas State Athletic Department. This position is full-time and benefits eligible and reports to the Head Men’s Golf Coach.

    Job Duties

    The Assistant Men’s Golf Coach plays a vital role in supporting the success of the Men’s Golf program at Texas State University. This position is responsible for the direct and independent coaching of student-athletes during practices and tournaments, as well as the development of individualized training plans.

    Key responsibilities include:

    + Recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes

    + Monitoring academic progress and providing support to ensure student-athlete success

    + Leading team meetings and contributing to a positive team culture

    + Assisting with public relations, marketing, and fundraising initiatives for the Men’s Golf program and athletic department

    + Ensuring compliance with all NCAA , conference, and university rules and regulations

     

    The ideal candidate will be student-centered, team-oriented, and committed to fostering excellence both on and off the course.
