Job Description
The primary objective of this position is to ensure the University is compliant with State and Federal tax regulations. This position will set up state tax contributory accounts and unemployment accounts when applicable. The position will also accurately and timely report tax adjustments to the proper Federal and State taxing authorities and General Accounting for reconciliation purposes. This position will ensure W2 and 1042S filing are complete and accurate.

Considerable knowledge of payroll tax regulations. Working knowledge of multi state tax issues and regulations. Working knowledge of Non-Resident Alien tax reporting. Possess the ability to work independently with excellent time management skills. Excellent problem-solving skills along with keen attention to details. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Excellent excel skills.

Level and type of experience
Considerable experience working with payroll tax regulations and payroll tax filing requirements.
Some experience working with payroll multi state taxation. Some experience working with automated payroll systems. Some experience working with payroll tax reconciliations.
Some experience responding to tax correspondence from federal, state, and local tax offices.
Additional Considerations (supplemental knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification)
Experience working with Banner Software.
