    Asplundh Engineering Services is seeking a Distribution Engineer with at least 4 years of expertise to join our team in Atlanta GA. This is a growth opportunity where you will be responsible for leading a team and assisting the Distribution Supervisor.

    **Location:** Some work may be done remotely, but candidates must be local to the Atlanta, GA area to take field notes, meet with operations or customers in the field, or attend meetings at in-district building.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

    + Evaluate distribution systems and apply engineering design standards to create designs for upgrades or replacements, per utility standards.

    + Develop engineering drawings and accurate estimates to aid construction.

    + Work is primarily remote, but candidates must be local to GA, preferably Atlanta area, to meet with customers in the field, attend in-person meetings in district buildings, etc.

    + Use of NESC clearances and utility guidelines to update pole framing and attachments.

    + Regularly utilize client proprietary software to complete all responsibilities required as part of the distribution design workflow process.

    + Coordinate work orders and projects with local utility personnel.

    + Review and check drawings to ensure that the designs meet the technical needs of the client and adhere to industry standards for reliability and safety.

    + Experience in distribution reliability, including CYME, is preferred, but not required.

    + Responsible for overseeing a small team of engineers and designers.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Experience with projects in distribution design

    Education & Experience:

    + BS EE and 4+ years experience orMS degree +2 or more years relevant experience

    + Experience leading a small team

    + Must be in greater Atlanta area

    + CYME experience a plus but not required

    Pre-Screen:

    + Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.

    License & Certifications:

    + Driver's License required.
