    DEICING DUTY MANAGER I AT PRIMEFLIGHT

    The Deicing Duty Manager I is responsible for assisting the General Manager with day-to-day operations and providing station support for additional operations assigned to the Deicing Ops Team. The successful candidate should have a strong background in overseeing successful operations and supervision of a frontline workforce focused on safety, customer service and efficient operations. This airport-based role supports the aviation industry and requires extended work hours, primarily during adverse weather operations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Work with the GM to develop, implement, maintain and oversee the administration of workforce planning, workflow, and process management to ensure deicing operations are performing at optimal levels

    + Supervise the day-to day operations

    + Provide safety training to all employees

    + Must possess the skills and abilities of a highly skilled supervisor and is expected to work alongside deicing employees to assist in the deicing operation

    + Ensure all safety policies and programs are adhered to

    + Review and complete all relevant reports for accuracy within a timely manner

    + Participate in development and implementation of processes for improvement to operation and safety

    + Along with the GM act as primary interface to customers

    + Manage deicing activities to ensure work quality standards are met

    + Ensure completion and accuracy of required record keeping

    + Assist in recruiting, interviewing and hiring process

    + Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location

    + Report for on call shifts during times of severe weather and/or during nonoperational months

    + Communicate performance expectations and company initiatives on a regular basis to employees

    + Assist in the development and delivery of performance reviews and provide overall ongoing feedback to improve employee morale and performance

    + Manage and diffuse customer complaints by developing, implementing and communicating a plan of action to correct issues.

    + Provide oversight and direction of inventory management and vendor relations

    + May be assigned other duties as required, including during the offseason and in other lines of business outside of deicing

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + 18 years of age or older

    + Eligible to work in the United States

    + One year of Management/Supervisor/Lead experience required

    + Fleet maintenance and mechanical knowledge is a plus

    + Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

    + Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents

    + Ability to use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices

    + Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means

    + Pass a background check and drug screen

    + Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)

    + Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operation

    + Must be able to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spaces

    + Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, kneel

    + Must be able to climb and work at elevated heights

    + Exposure to moderate and at times high noise levels

    + Exposure to Biohazards and/or Chemicals

    + Exposure to outdoor elements

    + Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms

    + Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers

    + Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
