    POSITION DETAILS

    CUNY School of Law is the premier public interest law school in the country. Founded in 1983, we train lawyers to serve historically underrepresented communities and work towards greater diversity in the legal profession.     The CUNY School of Law is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to fulfill the duties below, in addition to the CUNY Title Overview:

    • Process applications and matriculation-related documents to streamline applicant enrollment experience Assist in office management and coordination including: phone, email, mail, and managing materials available for recruitment

    • Track and process office purchasing and payment requests

    • Assist with tasks related to student recruitment including information sessions and other recruitment events (both on and off campus and tours)

    • Contribute to the progress of the office by conveying student concerns and surveying current process, to insure fairness and commitment to university goals

    • This position reports to the Admissions Manager. · Nights and weekends may be required.

    • Like other staff in the Law School, you are subject to the same in-person requirements, which entail a minimum of 70% in-person on-campus presence over two weeks. This requirement for in-person work may be higher than 70% based on departmental and divisional needs.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor's Degree required.

    Preferred qualifications:

    Two years of relevant work experience, such as in higher education, student admissions, recruitment, student affairs, or a related field.

     

    Familiarity with CUNYfirst, Unite, and online application systems.

     

    Expertise in creation and manipulation of data in Excel.

     

    Strong verbal, and written communication and presentation skills.

     

    Bilingual a plus.

     

    Excellent planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.

     

    Ability to work equally well independently and as a member of a team; must be very detail oriented.

    CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW

    Coordinates and contributes to student recruiting activities.

     

    - Conducts open house sessions and orientations to ensure applicants are fully informed of requirements and processes

     

    - Assists in direct recruiting at high schools, community outreach events, and other appropriate locations

     

    - Provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, email, or letter

     

    - Maintains current information about College programs and degree requirements

     

    - Performs related duties as assigned

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    $57,517-$65,946

     

    Salary commensurate with education and experience.

    For appointments expected to start on or before 8/31/2025:

    CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will be adjusted by 6.09% with additional increases of 3.25% effective 9/1/2025 and 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
