This is a Sherman Associates owned Hilton franchised location.

The Banquet Houseperson position plays a major role in the hotel’s Food & Beverage experience. As Banquet Houseperson, this role is accountable to the setup, takedown and overall cleanliness of the banquets space. Must be able to multi-task and be able to think and act quickly and effectively while maintaining self-composure.

Schedule: We are currently seeking part-time availability.

Pay: $17.00/hour

Essential Functions

+ Maintains cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, hallways, restrooms, storage and service areas. Sets up for events, carries trays, serves guests, and cleans up at the event’s conclusion.

+ Set up includes: putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement, and putting up a buffet.

+ Clean up includes: breaking down tables and taking tablecloths and linens to laundry.

+ Completes other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs.

+ Inspects linen, silver, china, and other items prior to using them.

+ During events, duties include assisting servers and bartenders, transporting tables and equipment, reporting maintenance issues to management, and providing requested information to banquet patrons.

+ Assembles temporary dance floors, podiums and other structures.

+ Upsells venue services and amenities to guests.

+ Assists audio-visual (A/V) set up of equipment, such as speakers and monitors.

+ In some cases, may also be tasked with helping transport food, beverages, decorations and equipment to an off-premises event location.

Required Experience:

Minimum Requirements

+ Previous hotel/hospitality or related service industry experience is strongly preferred.

+ A passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman Associates.

+ Schedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotel.
