    Description

    The Department of Biology in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, academic professional track (non-tenure) position with a 9-month academic appointment beginning August 1, 2025. Applicants will be considered for the title of Instructional Assistant Professor or Instructional Associate Professor, depending on qualifications and experience. This position is teaching-intensive (70%) and includes expectations for scholarship and/or service(30%). It is a renewable position with opportunities for advancement, progressing from Instructional Assistant Professor to Instructional Associate Professor to Instructional Professor. The purpose of this position is to provide high-quality biology instruction to undergraduates. In particular, the department has needs in its careers course and writing-intensive courses (BIOL 302, 401, 402, 403).     Qualifications

    Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in biology or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with higher education experience in teaching (e.g., classroom, workshops) and writing instruction for undergraduates. Additional experience with student-centered teaching approaches that promote student success and support the undergraduate teaching mission of the Department of Biology is desirable.
