Job Description

Our Danfoss Power Solutions site in Van Wert, OH has an opportunity for a Sr. Quality Engineer to join our Team.

Job Responsibilities

Leads quality projects engaging customers, manufacturing operations, and suppliers leveraging problem solving techniques to improve and sustain plant quality performance metrics. Duties: lead/support process assessments and other performance improvement activities within our site using problem solving tools (8D, Six Sigma); lead weekly reviews on quality performance metrics identifying and driving improvements with the use of data analytics; lead monthly quality performance and project status review of quality projects; support/lead deployment of IATF QMS requirements within our site participating in our Internal Audit process; lead/support validation of the implementation of corrective / improvement actions across our value stream leveraging incoming inspection, in process inspection, outgoing inspection processes to assess effectiveness of improvements; lead/support transition of business MRP to an SAP based system; learning, testing, training, and coaching users on its use.

Background & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering. 5 years of combined experience in a quality role in manufacturing operations for industrial and automotive products; as a lead auditor for process and internal system audits in adherence to IATF16949 and/ISO9001 standards; in the use of automotive industry standards (i.e. AIAG, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, APQP); in the use of six sigma problem-solving tools (e.g. Green Belt certification); in the use and application of continuous improvement tools and lean manufacturing principles; and with MS software solutions (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI).
