Our client, a well-established industrial mechanical contractor, is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join their team. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be part of the office staff supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a detail-oriented mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Purchasing Specialist

**Location:** Red Wing, MN

**Pay Range:** $20-$25/hour

What's the Job?

+ Source and purchase materials, tools, and equipment

+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.

+ Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to support project timelines without overstocking.

+ Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in specifications, quantities, and delivery dates.

+ Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to forecast material needs and resolve supply chain issues.

What's Needed?

+ Purchasing experience and full understanding of the construction industry.

+ Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.

+ Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.

+ Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
