Amazon Ads - Publisher Technology (PubTech) is a new exciting program that is building supply-side solutions for our content publishers to sell their inventory and maximize yield/monetization. It’s our mission to empower publishers with innovative and easy to use tools for creating new and engaging customer experiences. As a member of the PubTech Creative Management Team you will architect and launch greenfield technology solutions for publishers such as Amazon.com, FireTV, Prime Video and Twitch. We’re looking for curious self-starters who want to be part of building a completely new systems and customer experiences.
Our New York City based team is focused on designing, implementing, deploying, and supporting:
* Globally-available User Interfaces and APIs for our publisher partners to create innovative ad experiences
* Low-latency, high throughput solutions to optimize monetization during real-time ad bid flow
* Automated solutions to identify, moderate and enrich publisher content
Key job responsibilities
* Designs and independently implements key features solving difficult software problems for our publishers, potentially spanning multiple areas of Amazon’s advertising ecosystem.
* Solves complex technical problems with simple solutions wherever possible
* Demonstrates knowledge and use of coding and testing best practices
* Influences the team’s technical direction and maintains a high quality bar, having a direct impact on both software quality and experience for our users
* Effectively communicates technical and non-technical ideas to diverse audiences
* Collaborates with peers and mentors to receive guidance, and acts as a mentor to others as required
* Cultivates relationships with partner teams
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
