    Speech and Language Therapist- Probationary

    EFFECTIVE: 2025-2026 School Year LOCATION: Meadow Elementary and Baldwin Middle School REPORTS TO: Building Administrators WORK YEAR: 10-Month RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Evaluate, assess and screen students using appropriate standardized testing and clinical observation skills

    + Provide speech/language therapy according to students' IEP's

    + Create and monitor goals

    + Work cohesively with school programs on coordination of speech-language services from school to home

    + Assist with the reduction of inappropriate behaviors through positive reinforcement and ABA strategies

    + Collaborate with teaching and support staff to plan and implement targeted instruction to ensure generalization of skills

    Job Qualifications

    + NYS Certification in Speech and Language pending or issued

    + NYS Fingerprint Clearance

    + Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication Devices preferred

    + ABA experience preferred
