Description We are looking for an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team in Lake Forest, Illinois, on a contract basis. In this role, you will provide vital support to attorneys by managing various legal tasks and ensuring cases are handled efficiently and professionally. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and respond to discovery requests to support case progression.

• Compile and manage witness disclosures to ensure compliance with legal requirements.

• Conduct research and analysis based on case needs and your level of expertise.

• Draft and review financial affidavits, leveraging your knowledge of financial documentation.

• Communicate effectively with clients, addressing inquiries and providing updates.

• Maintain personal calendars to organize client communications while adhering to firm protocols.

• Draft, prepare, and file legal documents in accordance with court standards.

• Assist with trial preparation and provide support during proceedings as needed.

• Collaborate with other paralegals to ensure workload balance and meet deadlines. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a paralegal.

• Proficiency in case management and billing software such as Aderant, CompuLaw, and Adobe Acrobat.

• Strong background in family law and civil litigation.

• Familiarity with financial analysis and preparation of affidavits.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.

• Compassionate demeanor and ability to work well within a collaborative team environment.

• Experience in trial preparation, including creating visual aids and mockups.
