    Description

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Network Security Administrator to manage, monitor, and secure client network environments. As part of our Security Operations Center (SOC), you’ll be responsible for deploying and managing critical security infrastructure—including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and network access controls—across diverse customer environments. This role is key in maintaining service uptime, preventing intrusions, and ensuring compliance with security best practices.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Administer and maintain network security devices such as firewalls, VPN concentrators, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), and NAC solutions.

    + Monitor and respond to real-time alerts and logs via SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel).

    + Support 24/7 SOC operations by investigating suspicious network activity, triaging alerts, and escalating confirmed incidents.

    + Work directly with clients to provision secure remote access solutions, configure firewall rules, and optimize network segmentation.

    + Apply patches and updates to network security devices in alignment with change control policies.

    + Conduct periodic configuration audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001).

    + Collaborate with Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, and Engineering teams to enhance client defense postures.

    + Write and maintain detailed technical documentation, including device configurations, client runbooks, and security playbooks.

    + Participate in on-call rotation for critical security incidents or scheduled maintenance.

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent work experience considered.

    + Minimum 3 years of experience administering network security technologies.

    + Strong hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower), VPN technologies, and IDS/IPS.

    + In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, routing/switching, NAT, VLANs, and network segmentation.

    + Experience working in a multi-tenant or client-facing MSSP environment.

    + Proficiency with log analysis and alert triage using SIEM platforms.

    + Working knowledge of compliance frameworks and secure network design principles.
