    Plant Controller

    A client of ours is looking for a plant controller for a contract role to lead financial operations at our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for end-to-end financial management, including monthly close processes, cost accounting, financial forecasting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in manufacturing accounting and a proven ability to drive continuous improvement across finance functions.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Oversee the full spectrum of financial activities, including monthly close and management reporting for the manufacturing site.

    + Lead financial consolidation efforts for global operations, including multiple U.S. and international manufacturing plants.

    + Manage the Annual Operating Plan and Monthly Forecasting processes.

    + Administer and maintain the standard costing accounting system across all manufacturing operations.

    + Identify, recommend, and implement improvements in financial processes with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.

    + Partner cross-functionally with leadership and departments to drive results and align financial goals with operational objectives.

    + Ensure compliance through regular evaluation of internal controls and participation in audit activities.

    + Manage monthly inventory accounting, including warranty and repair operations, reserves, and warranty cost accounting.

    + Track, forecast, and report on capital expenditures and related legal entity requirements.

    + Document financial processes and develop clear work instructions.

    + Lead or contribute to special projects as needed.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/MBA preferred).

    + 10+ years of finance or accounting experience, ideally in a public manufacturing company.

    + Deep knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management.

    + Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and leadership capability.

    + Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.

    + Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

    + Advanced proficiency in SAP, Blackline, Business Warehouse (BW), and Microsoft Excel; Analysis for Office experience is a plus.
