    Absence of any related duties or functions in this document does not imply that incumbent may be exempt from assignments required to support production. The primary responsibility of this position is **_to perform duties assigned in the waste water treatment area._**

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as production demands may require:

     

    + **_The employee will be assigned equipment that he/she is responsible for maintain the preventative maintenance schedule assigned to the equipment by Plant Maintenance Manager._**

    + **_During operational hours of the processing plant the employee will perform demand maintenance repairs and adjustments in his assigned operations area._**

    + **_The employee will also be assigned tasks to be completed on a daily basis as designated by the waste water supervisor._**

     

    _Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client._

    NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to physically perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, sill, and/or ability required.     NONE

    LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

    + **_Lock out/Tag out_**

    + **_Pallet Jack and Fork Lift Certification_**

    TRAINING REQUIREMENT/METHODS:

    All employees are required to attend employee and safety orientation prior to performing the above duties. Once employee completes this training they will be assigned to a Supervisor who will further orient the employee to the workplace, introduce him/her to employees and other supervision, demonstrate work assignment and explain ingress and egress procedures to and from work station. A training buddy may be assigned to new employees for a period to assist in further training and indoctrination.

     

    Employee is required to attend a maintenance supplemental safety training class for required safety related work practices conducted by the Safety department as a new hire and review annually with supervisor. Employee will be required to review and sigh off acknowledgment of all required PPE for safe work practices assigned to his scheduled tasks.

    TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Those responsible for training and indoctrination may include: personnel representative, safety director, supervisor, and lead workers as assigned.

    METHOD OF TRACKING EMPLOYEE PROGRESS:

    The supervisor is accountable for tracking employee progress and performance.

    EXIT TRAINING FOR MEASURING TRAINING EFFECTIVENESS

    A specific probationary period is assigned to all employees hired to evaluate the employee effectiveness and performance. At the end of this period the supervisor will evaluate the job performance of each new employee utilizing current forms and procedures in effect at that time. The employee will be rated and evaluated on essential work duties listed above as well as attendance, tardiness, interaction with co-workers and management, attitudes and work actions. Unacceptable performance of duties, disciplinary actions will be documented on corrective action reports and appropriate personnel records. Absent any negative actions, the employee may be eligible for a wage increase according to wage and salary policies in effect at that time.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:

     

    + **_Walking, bending frequently, lifting over 50 lbs, climbing ladders and stairs occasionally._**

    _Key physical duties to include but not limited to:_

    + **_Up to 50 trips per day up and down stairs (18 steps one way) inside of waste water building._**

    + **_Up to 20 trips per day up and down a 4 rung vertical ladder._**

    + **_Up to 4 trips per day to and from water sample building (37 steps one way)._**

    + **_Up to 4 trips per day to reading incoming water meters._**

    + **_Up to 10 trips per quarter to outfalls to collect rain water samples. This consist_** **_climbing down banks on the edge of the river to retrieve water samples from_**

     

    _storm drainage pipes._

     

    _Up to 6 times a day blood tank must be emptied. This requires kneeling and opening and closing a valve at floor level._

     

    + **_Some PM’s require you to lay on and work from your side._**

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high precarious places, extreme cold; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
