Role Overview:
The Principal Software Automation QA Engineer will lead the quality assurance efforts for the Video Conferencing device team, ensuring the end-to-end quality, deployment, and operational stability of sync and tune applications. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining testing frameworks across Cloud UI, Cloud API, mobile, and desktop applications while collaborating with stakeholders to align project requirements with business objectives. Additionally, it focuses on developing methods and procedures for testing and inspecting production processes, equipment, and finished products to ensure precision and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Automation Framework Management: Implement, manage, and maintain robust testing automation frameworks and related processes to ensure reliable Quality Assurance platforms.
+ Test Case Development: Rapidly design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases for API, Web UI, desktop, and mobile applications in support of new software release cycles.
+ Quality Standards: Uphold best practices for software development, including writing high-quality test cases, automation scripts, proper documentation, and performance monitoring to continuously improve standards.
+ Agile Collaboration: Contribute to agile planning by providing estimations and designing incremental deliverables that align with development cycles.
+ Mentorship & Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews for test automation scripts and mentor junior and mid-level automation engineers to elevate team capabilities.
+ Issue Escalation: Proactively identify and escalate development blockers to program managers for timely resolution.
+ Tool & Infrastructure Optimization: Work closely with engineers to enhance testing tools, frameworks, and infrastructure.
+ Methodology Compliance: Consistently adhere to prescribed software development methodologies to maintain workflow efficiency and high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
+ Education: M.S./B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
+ Experience: 10+ years of proven leadership in QA automation teams and projects, with expertise in quality assurance processes and tools.
+ Technical Proficiency:
+ Strong programming/scripting expertise in Python and Selenium.
+ Solid experience with development tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.
+ In-depth knowledge of Android OS and Linux/Unix environments.
+ Soft Skills:
+ Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
Compensation:
This position offers an annual base salary typically between $ 150000 and $ 200000. In certain circumstances, higher compensation will be considered based on the business need, candidate experience, and skills.
