    Description

    Job Summary:

    Responsible for assisting with developing budgets, forecasts, financial models, and KPIs, and providing analysis of performance against them to help drive optimal financial results. The ideal candidate will be able to use data to help tell the story behind the numbers, translate business questions into analytical requirements, and perform analysis to gain insights and identify opportunities and risks.

    Essential Functions:

    + Assist in development and analysis of annual financial budget and periodic forecast updates

    + Prepare accurate and timely monthly department-level financial statements and variance reports

    + Conduct variance analysis to understand trends, risks, and opportunities in the business

    + Partner with Operations Leadership to complete regular financial forecast updates and interpret financial results

    + Perform various regular and ad-hoc financial analyses including lease vs. buy, project NPV/IRR, M&A, cost control, scenario analysis, and cash forecasting

    + Work on special projects and assignments as necessary, including beyond standard work hours

    + Help identify continuous improvement opportunities

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    + Finance or Accounting bachelor’s degree required; MBA or progress toward one is a plus

    + 8+ years of related work experience in accounting or finance

    + 8+ years of experience using financial reporting systems

    + Previous experience creating processes and tools to drive reporting and provide a basis for analysis and decision-making

    + Proficiency with general ledger functions and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

    + Experience working in the fiber or related telecommunications industry is a plus

    + Experience with cost allocation to multiple budget entities

    + Proficiency with financial reporting systems and management reporting tools

    + Strong understanding of P&L, B/S, and SOCF

    + High proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

    + Detail-oriented, coupled with strong analytical skills

    + Ability to pivot based on the needs of the business

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of an organization

    + Self-starter and finisher with proven experience taking significant initiative

    + Ability to work independently with effective time management and organizational skills

    + Highest ethical and professional conduct

    Compensation:

    Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary Range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. The actual salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
