Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for the Administrative Assistant (Part-Time) position in the Arts & Sciences department of the Academic and Student Affairs division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s Main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.
Under general supervision of the Dean of Arts & Sciences, the Administrative Assistant (part-time) provides secretarial and clerical support to the unit and serves as a liaison between the program / administrative / technical operation and clients. This is a part-time position, up to twenty-nine (29) hours per week.
The Administrative Assistant (part-time) j ob duties include, but may not be limited to, the following:
• Manage all onboarding documents for division adjunct instructors and part-time staff.
• Manage payroll for division adjunct instructors and part-time staff.
• Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders by determining the nature of clients’ business and providing appropriate information and assistance.
• Refers to appropriate personnel when necessary.
• Proofread and edit documents for content, context, accuracy and consistency.
• Copy, distribute and file appropriate letters, memoranda, reports and other materials.
• Prepare paperwork, sign-in sheets, copies and materials for the division dean.
• Order division supplies and equipment and maintains those supplies.
• Utilize a variety of software to produce documents, spreadsheets, visual aids, and promotional materials.
• Manage various reports and records.
• Manage database and report for instructional enhancements.
• Maintain filing and record-keeping systems.
• Conduct research using a variety of resources to generate reports, solve departmental issues, find new technology solutions.
• Answers main telephone line, screens, and directs phone calls ; and
• Perform additional duties, as assigned.
Competencies :
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service, clerical and technological skills.
• Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Office 365.
Minimum Qualifications :
Must possess and demonstrate a high school diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years of experience working in an educational setting or a business setting .
Preferred Qualifications :
Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate an Associate Degree or higher in Business or a related field AND five (5) or more years of experience working in an educational or business setting . E xperience with BANNER student information system is preferred.
