Job Title: Manufacturing Technical Writer

Duration: 12-18 months (potential for conversion to direct hire)

Pay Rate: $32-38/hr (negotiable for exceptional candidates)

Overview: System One is seeking a Technical Writer for an onsite role in the manufacturing sector, where you will play a crucial role in documenting and enhancing work processes within an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to observe and document current work processes.

+ Conduct thorough standard work process reviews to capture data and identify areas for improvement.

+ Organize and create comprehensive technical documentation that reflects the observed processes.

+ Engage with team members across various shifts to ensure accurate and timely documentation.

+ Maintain flexibility in your schedule to accommodate varying operational hours and processes.

+ Ensure compliance with safety protocols by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while on the manufacturing floor.

+ Provide a sample of your technical writing for review, and be prepared to discuss your documentation process during the interview.

Qualifications:

+ 1-5 years of technical writing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

+ Strong ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.

+ Experience in documenting complex processes and creating clear, concise technical documentation.

+ Ability to navigate a manufacturing facility, including the use of stairs and working in varying temperature conditions.

+ Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes is a plus.
