Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Developer with expertise in React, TypeScript and Python to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in developing and maintaining web applications, with a strong focus on building scalable, efficient, and user-friendly solutions.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

+ Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React (frontend), TypeScript, and Python (backend)

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features

+ Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to best practices

+ Implement and maintain APIs for seamless integration between frontend and backend systems

+ Optimize application performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth user interactions

+ Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications to meet user and business needs

+ Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers

+ Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and frameworks to improve development processes and application performance

+ Ensure the security of applications by adhering to best practices for data protection and secure coding

Qualifications

Education:

+ Bachelor's Degree in a computer-related discipline or equivalent work experience

Experience:

+ Minimum of 5 years in software development with a focus on React, Python, and TypeScript

Frontend Skills:

+ Proficiency in React.js, including hooks, state management, and component lifecycle

+ Advanced knowledge of TypeScript for developing robust, scalable frontend solutions

+ Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles

+ Familiarity with modern frontend build tools such as Webpack, Babel, or Vite

Backend Skills:

+ Strong expertise in Python and backend frameworks such as Django or Flask

+ Experience with designing and implementing RESTful APIs

+ Knowledge of database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB)

Tools & Processes:

+ Proficiency with Git, BitBucket, and version control systems

+ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP

+ Knowledge of Docker and containerization is a plus

Additional Skills:

+ Strong understanding of software development principles including MVC architecture, design patterns, and best practices

+ Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex systems

+ Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the base pay range for this position is $111,300 to $174,900 . Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
