    Position Summary Information

    Position Summary

    Wash, wax, dust and polish floors, furniture and fixtures; sanitize and disinfect lavatories and replace supplies; dispose of waste paper; operate automatic floor scrubbers, high speed burnishers, and other motorized floor cleaning equipment; recycle paper, aluminum cans and glass; report repairs to supervisor; shovel snow; sweep and clean walks, and assist in keeping immediate outside premises and building entrances in orderly condition (25 feet from entrances).

    Minimum Qualifications

    The successful applicant must be able to perform well in an interview and pass a criminal background check.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience in hands-on commercial cleaning with commercial products, chemicals, equipment, including floor cleaning equipment; experience in an educational or health care environment; and experience working with diverse populations, including an environment with a student population. Preference also given to applicants that have the ability to work independently or in a team setting and can receive and follow directions.
