    Job Description

    The BAE Systems site in Aiken, South Carolina is seeking a Quality Engineer II in support of Combat Mission Systems for the Weekend Shift.

    In this role as a Quality Engineer II, you'll be charged to:

    + Develop and write inspection plans.

    + Read, interpret, and apply blueprint skills.

    + Apply Geometric Dimensions & Tolerancing (GD&T) concepts.

    + Monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and data files.

    + Process non-conformances for disposition.

    + Provide technical quality support to production and engineering.

     

    Please note: This role supports on the Weekend Shift on a "3 X12" schedule.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + This position typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, and two (2) years related experience, or the overall equivalent.

    + Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints.

    + Working knowledge in reading, comprehending, and applying GD&T principles and applications.

    + Ability to read and understand raw material specifications.

    + Computer literacy in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

    + Understanding of Quality and Lean Principles.

    + Ability to support the Weekend Shift.

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Oracle MRP system;

    + First Article Inspection preparation;

    + PFEMAs;

    + Writing inspection plans;

    + Statistical Process Control;

    + Laser Scanner Inspection technology;

    + Polyworks inspection programing;

    + CMM-Manager inspection programming.

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $70735 - $120250

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
