    Job Description:

    We are seeking a skilled Scientist II- Protein Expression, to support recombinant protein production and characterization efforts for early discovery research. This role involves hands-on work in mammalian cell culture, transfection, small-scale expression, and protein purification using both traditional and high-throughput methods.

    Responsibilities:

    + Maintain and propagate CHO cells in suspension culture

    + Perform transient and stable transfections (CHO, HEK293)

    + Express and purify proteins (e.g., monoclonal and bispecific antibodies, Fc-fusions) using bench-top and magnetic-bead methods

    + Execute fed-batch cultures in shake flasks, tube spins, and multi-well plates

    + Perform analytical QC: SDS-PAGE, HPLC/UPLC, UV-Vis, NanoDrop, CESDS

    + Track data and maintain documentation using ELNs and analytical tools

    + Support multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative lab environment

    Qualifications:

    + B.S. in Biochemistry, Cell/Molecular Biology, Bioprocess Engineering, or related field + 3 years’ experience (or M.S. + 1 year)

    + Proficient in mammalian cell culture, aseptic technique, and protein expression

    + Basic experience in protein purification and analytical characterization

    + Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask

    + Familiar with Vicell, metabolite analyzers, ELN, MS Office; experience with Dotmatics, Benchling, or Spotfire is a plus
