    Generation Mid-Level Structural Engineer

     

    POWER Engineers, Member of WSP is seeking a Mid Level Structural Engineer to work in our Generation Civil/Structural/Architectural Department in our Boise, ID office.

    Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:

    + Mid-level structural engineer with experience in structural steel and reinforced concrete analysis and engineering for heavy industrial projects

    + Technical knowledge of building codes and material specifications

    + Working knowledge of structural analysis and design software

    + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, individually and as part of a project team

    + Good communication and interpersonal skills

    Required Education/Experience

    + 5+ years of structural engineering experience

    + ABET-accredited BS Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering

    + EIT obtained

    + Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship

    Desired Education/Experience

    + PE license obtained at least in one State

    + Knowledge and/or ability to learn 3D modeling software

    + Experience in power generation, transmission, and distribution projects

    + Experience with RISA or STAAD software

    + A strong understanding of structural building codes.

    + Seismic analysis and design

    + Dynamic foundation analysis
