Job Description Summary

Writes, debugs, executes and maintains the source code for software applications. Typically works under the direction of a Lead Developer. Likely to involve working closely with business analysts to ensure requirements are clear and well understood, with other developers to ensure the approach and code can be integrated, and with the application software testers to support their testing plans and resolve bugs. Also needs to conduct their own unit tests and ensure their code meets any performance standards.

Job Description

_This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 2-3 days a week(10-12 days a month ) at the following office location: St. Petersburg, FL._

Responsibilities:

+ The Lead Engineer is primarily responsible for application development projects of moderate-to-high complexity. Perform hands-on software development and design with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and ability to guide/lead junior members.

+ Required Skills:

+ Analyzes complex system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and sub systems.

+ Participate in the development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and delivery of large-scale software applications, systems, and services.

+ Actively participate in architecture, design, and code reviews. Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or to reuse of existing code.

+ Leads or participates in assigned projects, including assigning tasks, coordinating efforts, and monitoring performance.

+ May recommend new technologies and methodologies to management for meeting business needs, resolving problems and exploiting opportunities. Remains current with new technologies.

+ Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

+ Provides technical advice and assists in solving programming problems.

+ Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements and flow charts.

+ Reviews test results; documents test activities, and records remedial actions.

+ Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.

+ Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

+ Takes rotations for production support.

Skills:

Experience Must Include:

+ Strong experience working with Java8+, REST, SOAP, Micro Services and Service Oriented Architecture.

+ Strong Experience working with Spring, SpringBoot, Solution Architecture, Design Patterns, Integration Frameworks, SQL, NOSQL, Java Script tools & technologies.

+ Experience with near/distributed caches and strategies.

+ Experience with streaming platforms such as Kafka.

+ RDBMS Database such as Oracle and SQL

Education

Bachelor’s: Computer and Information Science (Required), Bachelor’s: Computer Engineering, Bachelor’s: Data Science

Work Experience
