Job Summary:

Our clientRochester Institute of Technology (RIT)is looking to hire an experiencedMental Health Counselor to work fully in-person in the Counseling And Psychological Services office! This is a contract position(temp-to-perm), lasting the entireFall semester (mid-August thru mid-December) with opportunity to become permanent. The hours are flexible,40 hours per week,between the office hours of8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. The perfect candidate will be alicensed NYS mental health professionaland haveat least 2 years of clinical experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Direct Service (65%)

+ Provide individual and group therapy services to culturally diverse undergraduate and graduate student population.

+ Conduct needs assessments, intake evaluations, treatment follow-up, and appropriate referrals.

+ Provide urgent care and crisis intervention.

Administrative (20%)

+ Maintain clinical documentation in a thorough and timely manner.

Teamwork and Professional Development (15%)

+ Participate in CaPS staff meetings, peer consultation group, IHS Case Collaboration.

+ Attend CaPS supervisory meetings.

+ In collaboration with supervisor, participate in campus committees, programs, professional development opportunities, and working groups.

Job Requirements:

+ Must have a Masters degree in a Mental Health related field.

+ Must be a NYS Licensed Mental Health Professional (LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT).

+ Must have at least 2 years of clinical experience.

+ Experience working with students or young adults is a plus.
