    Description

    Position Summary:

    The Post-Closing Specialist will be responsible for reviewing files for compliance, completion, and accuracy. In addition, this individual will be responsible for the preparation of the loan package for Storage in NFM’s Loan Origination system, data point completion and final delivery to the targeted investor or Housing Finance Agency. Responsible to work with Document Custodians to clear exceptions for Final Certifications and Sale of Loan files. These individuals must have strong organizational and communication skills as well as actual hands-on past experience in Post-Closing.

    Essential Job Functions:

    Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:

    + Deliver loan files to investors and agencies and request corrected documents from responsible parties

    + Data Input of critical loan data in ULDD(Uniform Loan Delivery Data) in Encompass

    + Responsible to Contact Doc Custodian via Phone to clear loans for Certification

    + Utilize knowledge and understanding of RESPA/TILA policies, loan type specifications/requirements, and Post-Closing concepts and procedures to effectively audit loan files

    + Responsible for auditing the executed closed loan packages received from title to confirm they meet NFM’s policies and procedures as wells as Agency requirements.

    + Responsible for the collection and archiving of all critical documentation prepared or required for an accurate documentation of loan settlement.

    + Must document Encompass of all errors found for additional post-closing department staff and compliance review.

    + Provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to internal clients.

    + Identify tasks to be completed and move forward independently without prompting.

    + Effectively communicate, work with, and build relationships with all levels of constituents including culturally and linguistically diverse staff members and external candidates and/or vendors, while operating in a fast-paced customer service driven environment.

    + The Post Closing Specialist is expected to maintain satisfactory attendance and report to work on time every day.

    + Additional tasks as assigned.

    The range provided reflects the expected compensation for this role and is considered a general guideline. Actual compensation will be decided based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience assessed during the interview process, and internal pay equity. Compensation may also include incentives such as per-file bonuses and discretionary bonuses as applicable to the role.
