Position Description
TheDepartment of Psychology (https://www.psych.txst.edu/) at Texas State University is seeking anAssociate or Full ProfessorinClinical Psychology.Expertise in quantitative methods and/or aging is preferred (although all specializations in clinical psychology will be considered).
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications for both ranks:
+ PhD in Clinical Psychology.
+ Licensed or license eligible in the state of Texas.
+ Must meet tenure requirements for the Department of Psychology at Texas State University.
+ Established research record with significant publications.
+ A record of external (i.e., state, federal, or foundation) grant funding.
+ Experience supervising graduate students in clinical training and research
+ Excellence in classroom teaching.
Required Qualifications for Full Professor:
+ Must meet requirements for promotion to the rank of Professor for the Department of Psychology at Texas State University.
+ Evidence of national and/or international reputation through awards, society leadership, speaking engagements, high-impact publications, or other metrics.
+ An established record of significant, multiple external grant awards.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications for both ranks:
+ Specialization in quantitative methods and/or aging (although all specializations in clinical psychology will be considered).
Application Procedures
The successfulAssociate or Full Professorcandidate will be expected to:
+ Maintain an active research program with consistent external funding
+ Supervise graduate theses/dissertations
+ Obtain then maintain licensure to practice clinical psychology in the state of Texas
+ Participate in the clinical training of graduate students
+ Teach graduate courses
+ Participate in service as a good departmental citizen.
