    The Role:

    In this pivotal position, reporting to the President and CEO of Swedish Health Services, you will serve as the cornerstone of leadership at Swedish Medical Center (SMC) in Seattle, Washington. You'll partner with our Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Chief Nursing Officer to advance SMC's strategic vision and operational success. This position will oversee our 5 campuses in the Central Puget Sound region, including our flagship hospital - First Hill Medical Center. This is an exciting time to join our team with the North Tower expansion, tentatively opening in Fall 2027.

     

    + **Operational Excellence Architect:** Lead the charge in refining our operational processes to meet and surpass hospital objectives, ensuring the highest standards in quality, safety, and resource management.

    + **Financial Strategist:** Oversee SMC's operating budget, optimizing staff productivity and efficiency while managing key contracts and service lines with precision and accountability.

    + **Stakeholder Relations Leader:** Cultivate robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, hospital administrators, community leaders, and government officials—to foster collaboration and strengthen our leadership team.

    What You'll Bring:

    + **Educational Background:** Master's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.

    + **Leadership Experience:** Minimum of 5 years in senior leadership roles within healthcare delivery organizations, with 7 years of progressively responsible positions in the healthcare field.

    + **Hospital Administration Expertise:** 5 years in administration within an acute care hospital or medical center.

    + **Strategic Vision:** Proven ability to formulate and execute strategic plans focused on organizational growth.

    + **Market Insight:** Deep understanding of healthcare trends and their implications, along with experience in managing day-to-day financial operations across multiple locations.

    + **Change Leadership:** Skilled in guiding complex organizations through transitions and educating others on the importance of change.

    + **Relationship Builder:** Ability to establish strong communication and listening skills, fostering trust and collaboration among diverse groups.

    + **Team Dynamics:** Expertise in developing and managing effective teams, energizing them to pursue and achieve both present and future goals.
