    What You'll Do:

    As a Dental Assistant you will work to enhance the daily operations of the clinic by providing excellent care and communication to our patients. As a Dental Assistant you will:

     

    + Prepares, sterilizes, disinfects, and maintains dental equipment, instruments, and supplies.

    + Collects and records patient health histories, take impressions, and x-rays.

    + Ensures patient comfort during procedures.

    + Prepares dental materials (cements, amalgam, composite, impression materials, etc.).

    + Completes charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed.

    + Assist doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies.

    + Cleans/polishes removable devices, fabricate temporary restorations, custom trays, study models.

    + Delivers postoperative and general oral care instructions to patient.

    + Maintains infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff.

    + Assist administrative team with customer service functions.

    + Present treatment plans to patients.

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program or dental assistant experience preferred

    + Previous customer service or office experience

    + Proficiency or the ability to become proficient within 90 days in dental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills

    + Foster a positive attitude and be a team player

     

    Patient Care Hours: Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
