Overview
Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility:
Provides direction in the administration, management, and coordination of financial operations within Baptist working in close collaboration with the Entity Chief Executive/Administrator (“CEO”) and Vice President, Finance Operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to setting financial direction, standardization of operations, identification of efficiencies, financial oversight for entity operations, implementation of performance improvement plans, deployment of productivity/labor cost strategies, and administration of operating plans/goals. Supports a culture of respect, service, and teamwork in alignment with Baptist’s mission, vison, values and principles.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field. Master’ Degree and/or CPA designation preferred but not required.
+ 7 years progressive, outcome oriented finance experience with a minimum 4 years of strong leadership experience working in a medium sized hospital or health care setting. Experience working in health care system preferred. Experience includes inpatient, outpatient/ambulatory, and physician practices
+ Knowledge of health care financial issues, trends and analytics, legal compliance, and managed care contracting reimbursement.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, in order to help drive sound operational and financial decisions and performance.
+ Ability to foster collaborative partnerships with administrative staff, management teams, other key stakeholders in the implementation and administration program delivery.
